Longlands Farm Nativity

Science Week 2017

Our theme is Healthy Body, Healthy Mind and so far we have learnt all about the importance of hand washing. A quick rinse under the tap was not enough to get rid of our 'germs'!

Year 1 and 2 Trip to Dudley Zoo and Castle - 26th September 2017

We had a fabulous time at Dudley Zoo and Castle! We loved looking at all of the animals but our favourite part was the Horrible Histories Workshop in the castle undercroft. We learnt lots about what life was like in late medieval times. Some of us were almost beheaded but luckily it was the Lady's birthday so she let us off with a warning...

Please click on the links below for the Year 1 and Year 2 Curriculum Newsletters. Our topic this term is Long, Long Ago with a focus on Castles. We are all looking forward to our trip to Dudley Castle and Zoo next week - keep an eye on this page for photos!

Welcome to Year 1 and 2!

A very warm welcome back to all of our Key Stage 1 families; we hope you have had a fabulous summer together and have returned raring to go in our new academic year. We have amalgamated the Year 1 and 2 pages as much of the information we share applies to both classes.

Here are a few notes for your information:

Reading - book change is available on a Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Please ensure that your child brings their book folder in every day so that they can read in school and to bring home important letters.

PE Kits - need to be in school every day as our PE days can change at any time. Please ensure all kit is named, including pumps, and that you check pumps for size regularly. We will send PE kits home at the end of each half term.
